Argyle and area grew and prospered for many years thanks to the railway. In 1922, Canadian Northern became Canadian National Railways with the amalgamation of several railways into one. CNR continued to serve Argyle until 1991 when the Inwood branch was removed.
The Argyle Prairie Museum is proud to preserve and display railway memorabilia that reflects this early mode of travel. With the Ekhart railway station as our centerpeice, daily life of a rural station comes to life with artifacts and displays of yesteryear.
